It draws inspiration from Clear Lake Golf Course in Riding Mountain National Park, P.O. Box 328, Onanole, Manitoba, Canada R0J 1N0. Builders opened the original layout in 1928, and Stanley Thompson shaped the front nine. Thompson later returned in 1948 and refined elements that hug the natural terrain.
You play 18 holes that carry a par of 72 across 6,309 yards with a slope of 121. Public access lets locals and visitors share the same fair challenge. The season runs from May 1 to October 30, so plan your trip around prime weather. Rolling hills rise and fall through thick forest that frames clear sight lines.
Clear Lake shimmers at the east end and reflects morning light beside several tee decks. The routing follows landforms and keeps you close to wildlife calls in the park. After the round, relax at the bar or enjoy a meal in the restaurant.
