TGC 2019 brings GC Dingstede to life, beautifully recreated by Walther Habemann and inspired by Germany’s Oldenburger Land Golf Club.
Oldenburger Land is a semi‑private, 18‑hole championship course nestled in Hatten‑Dingstede, Lower Saxony. It plays to a par 72 over 5,896 m (approx. 6,450 yards), with a slope rating of 131 and course rating of 71.8. Holger Rengstorf designed the course in 1998, crafting a layout that balances challenge with parkland charm. Its fairways feature bent and Bermuda grass, and greens roll true and consistently.
The clubhouse offers a restaurant (Café Heuerhaus), lounge, conference rooms, locker rooms, and electric‑car charging alongside spots for motorhomes. Practice facilities include a driving range with 20 tees (10 covered), putting and chipping greens, and a bunker. Golfers can rent carts, pull carts, and clubs, and receive coaching from a teaching pro. The course remains open year‑round .
Natural beauty surrounds every hole. Set across 65 ha of gently rolling Oldenburger Geest terrain, the course weaves through fields, forest edges, hedgerows, a winding stream, and three ponds that also serve as irrigation. Tall woodland edges frame fairways. A forested chute between holes 4 and 5 offers a signature stretch through mature trees .
