The Old Course at Ballybunion Golf Club is considered one of the most challenging links courses in the world. The course had inspired Cathalos 1991/Cathal O’Sulliv to design a similar course for the 2019 TGC simulation software. Located in County Kerry, Ireland, the 18-hole course is known for its dramatic coastal setting and undulating terrain. The private course was built in 1893, has a par value of 71, and measures 6,739 yards.

Built by Tom Watson, Graeme Webster, Tom Simpson, and Caspar Grauballe, the course is designed for players of all skill levels. It is open all year round but enjoys its high season from mid-April to mid-October. The course also offers a driving range, bunker, putting green, and pitching and chipping area that enable members to practice the game with ease. It also hosts several high-profile tournaments, including the Palmer Cup and the Irish Open, and is regarded as one of the best golf courses in the world.
