TGC 2019 welcomes the Black Lake GC Michigan module, a carefully recreated digital course by Albert Marriott. This virtual course draws direct inspiration from Black Lake GC, a public golf facility located at 2800 Maxon Rd, Onaway, MI, within Cheboygan County. The course features 18 traditional-style holes, each with a par of 72 and a total length of 7,046 yards. Open from April to October, it stands as a testament to the design talents of Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead, who built the original layout in 2000.

Golfers step into a pristine forest setting, where majestic maple and birch trees line every fairway. The landscape feels untouched. Natural elements such as cranberry bogs, sand quarries, and winding ravines play a role in several holes. The course avoids artificial mounds, instead using the land’s gentle grades and natural sweeps. Water features and reflecting pools add strategic interest and natural charm.
