The TGC 2019 simulation introduces Kauri Cliffs @ Matauri, inspired by the famed Kauri Cliffs in Kerikeri, Northland, New Zealand. This private, links-style course spans 18 holes. It plays 6,528 meters at par 72 and carries a tough slope rating of 144.

Built in 2004 under the vision of architects David Harman, with updates by Rees Jones and Steve Weisser in 2014, the layout winds across dramatic coastal cliffs and ocean vistas. Fifteen holes line the Pacific’s edge, with cliffs that plunge into the sea. Inland holes meander through rolling farmland and native bush across 6,000 acres.

The design follows natural undulations, creating sudden elevation changes and strategic shot angles. Native Kauri trees guard deep ravines filled with subtropical flora. Southern pockets of lush marsh and dense forest add variety. Three secluded beaches, including the Pink Beach, offer tranquil escapes.

Members gather at a well-appointed clubhouse with locker rooms before and after play. Open year-round, Kauri Cliffs @ Matauri delivers a pure, immersive link experience amid New Zealand’s wild beauty.
