TGC 2019 introduces Waialae CC, crafted by Nobuko Tanaka. It draws from the historic Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii. The original club opened in 1927 at 4997 Kahala Ave. This private gem features 18 holes, a par-72 layout, and 7,020 yards.

It plays with a tough 140 slope rating. Bermuda grass fairways flow into Bermuda brass greens. The design blends work by Seth Raynor, Desmond Muirhead, Jack Snyder, and Nelson & Haworth. A clubhouse hosts events in its conference and banquet spaces.

Guests can swim, play billiards, or enjoy the tennis courts. Several holes offer sweeping Pacific Ocean views. Coconut palms line the fairways and form the club’s iconic “W” logo. Kapakahi Stream and small ponds add strategic water challenges. Tropical shrubs and trees add vibrant color. Subtle terrain changes create dynamic shot-making.

Gentle sea breezes and warm sun imbue the famed “Aloha Spirit.” The club has hosted the Sony Open on the PGA Tour. Staff maintain emerald fairways year-round. The ocean breeze cools the course daily. The par-3 eighth hole runs along the shoreline, offering spectacular coastal drama.
