Åkersberga Golfklubb is one of the finest golf courses in Sweden. It ranks among the top 50 golf facilities in the country, and the top 20 in the Central & North Sweden region. Locally known as the Vasterled (West) course, it was formerly known as the venue for several prestigious championships including the Swedish PGA Championship and the Ladies European Tour during the 1980s. The layout, realizing its shortcoming in keeping up with the up-and-coming courses in the adjacent layouts such as Ulna and Bro Hof, was redesigned and restructured.

Since then, it is regarded as one of the best courses in the region. Recently in 2010, it even held the European Amateur Championship as well, regaining its past glory as a championship layout. You can also try this amazing 18-hole Lidar course via The Golf Club 2019 (designed by Mikael Thunberg). The course features unique link-style bunkers with deeper and more revetted faces. The greens are fast, and the fairways are immaculate.
